RPS spoke to a union representative; Microsoft confirmed ongoing options to IGN.

Arkane Lyon is still working on Marvel's Blade while Microsoft seeks a partner for the studio. The consultation ends Nov. 13, while the date for finding a buyer remains under negotiation.
Arkane Lyon has 217 employees and is developing Marvel’s Blade. A Printemps Écologique union representative told Rock Paper Shotgun that the consultation period ends Nov. 13. The representative said the buyer timeline is still being negotiated.
Microsoft says it is exploring options for Arkane and actively seeking a partner to support the game’s development and release, in a statement sent to IGN. The company says it is keeping employees and the works council informed. For players waiting for Blade, Nov. 13 is a date in the studio’s talks, not a game release date.
Le Monde’s account, summarized by ActuGaming, says several forms of takeover are being considered. IGN says that before July’s layoffs, Blade had been on track for a reveal in early 2027 and a release late that year.
What we don’t know
No buyer or new release date for Marvel’s Blade has been announced.
That’s the whole story. Back to the main quest.
