PC Gamer quotes a member of the ME3Tweaks team about the N7 Day plan; the mod has not been released

ME3Tweaks plans to bring Mass Effect 3 multiplayer to Mass Effect Legendary Edition on N7 Day, PC Gamer says. The mod would give players a way to team up in an edition that currently has no multiplayer.
ME3Tweaks has worked on the mod for three years. The team says it is doing more than moving the old mode into Legendary Edition: it plans updated lighting, textures, menus, networking and bug fixes. Unified would mix enemies from different factions, giving the enemy roster its own crossover. Players could join a ME3Tweaks server or set up a private one.
In a 2021 interview with Game Informer, project director Mac Walters said restoring multiplayer would have meant rebuilding online systems, dealing with its separate economy and deciding how to support it after launch. BioWare focused on the single-player trilogy instead. Steam still lists the Windows edition as single-player. For anyone waiting to play together, the mod is a plan for N7 Day, not a mode they can start today.
What we don’t know
Console support and final installation requirements are unclear. The team is aiming for N7 Day, but the mod has not been released.
That’s the whole story. Back to the main quest.
