PC Games Hardware reports that Anno 117: Pax Romana's Egypt DLC arrives Nov. 5 with Nile floods that cut floodplain productivity by 75%. Players will need to plan around lower output during floods and higher yields at harvest.

The floods follow a regular cycle. Businesses on floodplain land lose 75% of their productivity while the water is high, then crops produce more during harvest season. Ubisoft Mainz, the studio behind the game, is adding irrigation canals to help players manage the change.

Storing extra grain has a cost, too. A granary filled beyond its normal 100-ton limit can attract rats, which can hurt the health of an island’s population. The risk rises as the granary gets more crowded, especially at lower granary levels.

The expansion also adds a research tree for Aegyptus, with irrigation upgrades and new land units such as dromedary cavalry. Another developer diary is planned for Oct. 29. Steam lists the base game, released Nov. 12, 2025, as playable alone or in online co-op.

What we don’t know

The DLC price and the length of each flood remain unclear.

That’s the whole story. Back to the main quest.
