Rock Paper Shotgun: Paralives' first major update moves from 2026 to 2027
The life sim's first big update needs more time. Steam lists its release date and names its developer.

The delay is reported by Rock Paper Shotgun; the official update post was not supplied.

Paralives' first major update has moved from late 2026 to 2027, according to Rock Paper Shotgun. Players waiting for changes to relationships, building and character creation will have to wait longer.
The first big renovation is now on the 2027 calendar. Rock Paper Shotgun says the Paralives team needs more time for an update that was planned for the end of 2026.
The plan covers four areas. In Live Mode, relationships would unlock more options as they grow, while changes to the economy would make money harder to earn. The team also plans two new skills and more jobs. Build Mode work includes fixes for bugs that can break builds, plus new furniture and items.
The Paramaker is set to get more hair and clothing choices, including baggy outfits. Wider fat and muscle slider ranges are also planned. These are plans, not a final feature list: some items may move to a later update.
Steam lists May 25, 2026 as Paralives’ release date, without specifying the exact day early access began. It is a single-player game made by Alex Massé and team. For now, the new furniture is on the list; its arrival date is not.
What we don’t know
The team has not given a release date within 2027 or a final list of features for the update.
That’s the whole story. Back to the main quest.
